Welcome to The Autism Community in Action's Family & Friends Autism Fundraiser for the Texas Chapter!

Since 2013, TACA Texas has provided monthly coffee talks around North Texas where parents can receive help from trained parent mentors. Most of all TACA offers a place to not feel alone in this autism journey and connect with parents who get "it". New families that attend will receive a free 174 page Journey Guide, which is full of resources including guides to treatments, IEPs, therapies and so much more. We offer a lending library with over 300 books that parents can check out for free to save them the cost and offer convenience. TACA Texas holds parent education events. These events include professionals to speak to parents about topics that concern them most such as Special Education, Speech, Insurance, Behavior and much more. There are family events each year that bring our families together in a safe environment. This is something not all families can afford with all the costs of autism that falls directly onto families. We are dedicated to outreach to raise autism awareness and connect families with TACA resources. In 2018,  because of the support and success of Family & Friends,  TACA Texas again has provided medical scholarships to families with autism.
